Introduction to Quantum Computing & IBM Q

Presenters from IBM will talk about different aspects of Quantum Computing – its history, the fundamentals and potential applications as well as about enabling the quantum ecosystem. This will be a two-part talk with the opportunity to go deeper in the second hour and further explore topics such as QISKit, the open source SDK available to program quantum computers and the IBM Quantum Experience, a free online 16Qubit quantum computer with tutorials and examples to learn about quantum computing.

The presenters are Sarah Sheldon, PhD, a researcher from the Experimental Quantum Computing team at IBM Research and Rajeev Malik, PhD and Program Director for IBM Q Systems, both based in Yorktown Heights, NY.
