If you are a member of an MCommunity group for a Flux allocation, you can check the cost and usage of your Flux allocation(s) in MReports.

To login, visit mreports.umich.edu/mreports/pages/Flux. You will need your uniqname, Kerberos password and a Duo two-factor authentication account to access MReports. To join a Flux MCommunity group, send email to arcts-support@umich.edu.

Flux Usage Report Overview

The Flux report provides cost and usage information for the Flux allocations associated with your project grant(s).


Letter Field/Button Description
A My Criteria Use this drop-down list to display your choices and click your selection; this feature may be particularly helpful if you have a long list of accounts and want to limit the display.
B Save Save the current criteria selections for future use
C Reset to Default Return to your default criteria selections
D Manage Criteria Work with your saved criteria sets; for example, choose a new default or rename a saved criteria set.
E Selected Flux Accounts… Choose the Flux accounts to be included in the report; the drop-down list shows the accounts you own and those owned by MCommunity groups to which you belong
F Refresh Refresh the contents of the report, using the current selections in the criteria selections
G All Flux Accounts Check this checkbox in order to deselect it and choose individual accounts from the list below
H Find Use this field to search the list of Flux accounts
I Add Selected, Add All, Remove All Click all the Flux accounts you want included in the report and the click the Add Selected button to add them to the list of selected Flux accounts. Use the Remove All button to delete all current selected accounts from the list
J Remove Click to remove the correlating account from the Selected Flux Accounts list



A View in Choose the time increment in which you want the report information displayed


A Account The name of the Flux account for which details are shown.  For individual accounts, the account name is your uniqname with a suffix of “flux”. For group accounts, the account name is the group name with a suffix of “flux”.
B Days Remaining The number of days that remain available in this allocation
C Click Here to show inactive allocations Link that shows inactive allocations to the report; use this function to see past use
D Allocation ID A unique identifier assigned to each allocation in an account
E Start Date/End Date The start date and end date during which an allocation is usable and jobs can be run against the associated cores. When the end date has passed, the allocation moves to an “inactive” state, shown as a red cell, and the value in the Active column becomes No.
F Allocated Cores The number of processing cores associated with the allocation
G Allocation Amount The number of cores multiplied by the amount of time between the start date and the end date for this allocation
H ShortCode This Financial accounting term is used as a short cut to the full set of associated chartfields to which the charges have been billed.


A Billable Month The year and month during which you were billed for an account, as shown on the FN06 Procurement Statement of Account (SOA)
B Allocated Cores The number of cores months allocated to the account for the billing month
C Used Cores The number of core months actually used during the billing month
D Used Core % Used cores divided by allocated cores
E Total Cost for Allocation Flux rate per core month is $11.20


A Total By user, the core-time used, shown in seconds, minutes, hours, months or days as specified in your Criteria selection; click on the link to see the usage details.
B Monthly Usage By user, the core time used for the past twelve months in terms of seconds, minutes, hours, days or months.



A Amount of Usage Axis By user, the amount of usage for the two most recent months in terms of seconds, minutes, hours, days, or months, as specified in your Criteria selection
B Month/Year Axis Month/Year in which the usage occurred
C Legend Color indicators for each of the users who participated in the usage
